Registration for the June dates takes place at Memory Park, Newton

Directions to Park:  Rte. 206 N to town square of Newton. Make right onto Spring Street and an immediate left hand turn onto Moran St.  Follow Moran Street through two stop signs and park is located at the end of Moran Street.  Registration for June dates takes place in front of the pavilion on the right hand side of the park.

 

 

 

 

 

The NJAL offers football cheerleading to youth in Grades K to 8.  It is the goal of the NJAL to offer programs that promote the ideals of good team sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and reverence, so that the youth of the community may grow to be well-rounded adult citizens. The NJAL cheerleading program provides a supervised and fun atmosphere for participants to learn the basics of cheerleading.  Our football cheerleading program requires no try outs.

Participants are placed on squads/teams based upon age level. The divisions are as follows, however placement is at the discretion of the Board of Cheerleading and subject to total enrollment.

All squads/teams begin practice in Mid-July and the season ends in Mid-November. Girls are allowed to miss practice due to family vacations. A Cheerleading banquet is held the first week of December. 

Registration fees are non-refundable. Registration includes use of a uniform for the length of the season.  There is a charge for any uniform not returned at the end of the season.

We are always looking for coaches and team advisors.  This is a volunteer organization and as the monetary rewards may be none, the emotional rewards of working with the children are larger than any paycheck you could earn.  To be a part of our Cheerleading program, please contact the Cheerleading President.

SHOW YOUR NEWTON SPIRIT AND TEAM PRIDE BY WEARING OUR COLORS AND LOGO!  Optional Clothing is available for purchase through the league.  All Jacket orders must be received by the first week of August in order to ensure delivery by the start of season.  Cheerleaders are allowed to wear the optional clothing as a part of their uniform when weather indicates the need.  Click here to download the order form.
